Neck stretching - is a warm-up and is performed in an Easy Pose (Sukhasana):
- Turn your head up and look at the ceiling.
- Turn your head down, “Chin to Chest”, look down. Repeat.
- Turn your head to the left.
- Turn your head to the right. Repeat.
- Gently lower your chin to relax the back of your neck (the only area that is bent is your neck).
- Lower your right ear down towards your shoulder.
- Hold for 2 seconds.
- Return upright.
- Repeat “Ear to Shoulder” on the other side.
- Rest for 2 seconds and repeat the turns two more times.
- Clockwise head rotation – twice.
- Counterclockwise head rotation – twice.
