K-12 schools should not offer yoga classes

On one hand, that would be a perfect solution for a good fitness program for our kids at a low cost. However, I would like to remind you that both Catholic Church and Muslim Clerics warn against it. It's not the physical part of it that causes their concern but spiritual, and it is not compatible with Christian or Muslim believes. In 1989, the Vatican warned its faithful that yoga and other Asian contemplative practices could "degenerate into a cult of the body." So, if I was a parent I would be concerned and even suspicious of this idea. Especially if you consider that it is only partially paid for by the taxpayers.

Those kids would be much better off with Pilates.
